Christmas Doodle

Audrey-Doodle enjoyed her first Christmas this week. She was happy to receive a great many gifts from family and friends, and was able to visit with her five cousins.

Here are a few shots of her hanging with her (very tired) old man, and loaded up in her car-seat.

The Hideout

The Aud wanted to go to The Hideout today with Mommy and Daddy. However, since Daddy will need to fire up the snow-blower just to get out of the driveway today - no Hideout for you.

Aud was geared up wearing her Hideout onesie (courtesy of Team Sleper), but she'll be busy with Dad today - staying in and watching the Lions invade San Diego.

Happy Holidays from the Aud

Greetings, fellow peeps. Aud is getting amped for her first Christmas. And why not? Good food, shiny tree, fun music and new presents are all in store. Aud is hoping for a tooth and a book on the finer points of crawling.

Aud picks out her first Christmas Tree

Today, Audrey went to the Christmas Tree farm to look for a Christmas Tree. This will be her mommy and daddy's fifth tree in Ada, which shocks them immensely.

Anyhow, after a morning drive to Rockford on winding, snow-covered road - we found the tree farm. The Thurston's were underwhelmed at the selection of concolor fir trees. So, Team Thurston drove back to the Cascade area and got the gigantic tree that we get each year - from the little lot behind the liquor store.

Just a beautiful tree that had to be squeezed through the door. The great thing about concolor fir trees are that they smell like oranges. In fact, our entire house now smells of oranges. No lights or ornaments on the tree yet, but that will occur after the Lions game tomorrow.
